PHOTO TEE_HIRO TANAKA

Photographer Hiro Tanaka followed the artisans who have walked with KURO for 15 years. He traveled to factories across Japan, capturing with his camera the techniques cultivated there and the craftsmanship of dedicated handiwork. His journey resulted in approximately 15,000 photographs. From this vast collection, 15 carefully selected images have been incorporated into a new form as "PHOTO TEEs."

Hiro Tanaka won a grand prize trip abroad in a lottery, leading to his first trip to America. While accompanying a band he met there on their tour, he was given a camera and began his photography career. He has received numerous awards, including the Cosmos Arles PDF Award (France) and the TPD Book Award (Italy) at the Rencontres d'Arles photography festival. He has also been nominated for or selected for awards such as World Press Photo - Global Talent, Book Award - PhotoESPANA Premio al mejor libro, and the Kassel Dummy Award.

KURO Original ROUND SHAPE TEE

The T-shirt body uses KURO's original ROUND SHAPE TEE. The fabric, carefully knitted on traditional circular knitting machines, becomes more comfortable against the skin with each wear, developing a classic, aged texture. This piece is meticulously crafted, even down to its silhouette and the tension of the neckline.
