NEW HERITAGE — Fabric 素材への探求

Fabric — An exploration of materials

Rare selvedge fabrics reproduce vintage denim from the early 20th century. They are woven slowly on traditional shuttle looms, of which only around 300–400 are said to remain in Japan. Rope dyeing gives the indigo its depth, while the fabric retains a firm, substantial hand. Fabrics ranging from 12.5 to 13.5 ounces are selected for each model to complement its silhouette and design.

NEW HERITAGE — Finish 時間を重ねたような表情

Finish — The character of time

One of KURO’s signatures is a finish that creates a worn-in feel from the outset. Depending on the model, treatments include washes that recall the feel of retained starch, hand sanding by skilled factories, and distressing and repair work. These finishes bring out the deep indigo and the texture of the fabric to create a subtle vintage character.
