A high-waisted wide straight fit with a voluminous silhouette and minimal tapering from the thigh to the hem. The classic cinch-back detail adds a bold, authentic vintage character.

The fabric is a rare selvedge denim faithfully reproduced from early 20th-century vintage denim. Woven slowly on traditional shuttle looms, of which only around 300–400 remain in Japan, this exceptionally rare material can take up to two years to arrive. Developed through close collaboration between the designer and the mill, the 12.5 oz denim features deep indigo tones achieved through rope dyeing and a firm, structured texture. Its exceptional quality is difficult to replicate in mass-produced denim.

This distinctive fabric undergoes an advanced shaving process at a highly skilled factory in Akita. The medium-dark indigo base is subtly infused with beige tones to create a rich, authentic vintage fade. Shaving a wide-leg silhouette evenly presents a particular challenge, as inconsistencies in the finish can easily become visible; here, the process achieves an exceptionally natural balance of fading. Vintage-inspired details include a leather patch, cinch-back belt, brass rivets, and button fly. Careful stitching with No. 30 thread, along with the considered use of single and chain stitching, reflects an in-depth exploration of vintage denim construction down to the smallest details.
