Designed with a high-rise waist and a voluminous wide straight leg that maintains its shape from the thigh to the hem, these jeans deliver a bold, classic silhouette. The cinch-back detail adds an authentic vintage character, creating a distinctive look rooted in traditional denim styling.

The fabric is a rare selvedge denim that reproduces the character of early 20th-century vintage denim. Slowly woven on shuttle looms, of which only around 300–400 remain in Japan, this exceptional material can take up to two years to become available. Developed through close collaboration between the designer and the mill, the 12.5 oz denim features deep rope-dyed indigo and a firm, substantial texture. Its outstanding quality reflects a level of craftsmanship rarely found in mass-produced denim.

This model features an exceptionally intensive shaving process that removes color across the entire surface, creating a pale, faded finish. Achieving an even result on wide-leg jeans is particularly challenging, but the skilled artisans at a factory in Akita have created a beautifully uniform fade. The deeply stripped-back color works in harmony with the drape of the wide silhouette, giving the denim a distinctive vintage character. Traditional details—including a leather patch, cinch-back belt, brass rivets, and button fly—are complemented by meticulous stitching with 30-count thread and a considered combination of single and chain stitching. Every detail reflects a deep appreciation for vintage denim and its construction.
