STANDARD DENIM PANTS - TRACE

Inspired by the iconic “501,” these classic straight-leg jeans feature a regular rise. Unlike the voluminous wide silhouette of the “FORM” model, they follow a timeless straight line that falls cleanly from the thigh to the hem.

The fabric is a reproduction of denim originally produced by Amoskeag in the early 1900s, woven slowly on rare shuttle looms, of which only around 300–400 remain in Japan. The 12.5 oz raw fabric gains weight to nearly 13 oz after washing, developing a firmer, more structured texture. The deep indigo achieved through rope dyeing gradually softens into a beautifully subdued shade through the wash process.

The defining appeal lies in being able to wear the look of well-aged denim from the very beginning. A carefully controlled wash leaves a subtle, starch-like finish, creating a restrained vintage mood. Classic details include a leather patch at the back waist, a cinch back, brass rivets, and a button fly. The hem is finished with chain stitching, while precise stitching with fine No. 30 thread ensures durable construction that resists losing its shape even after washing.
