PRODUCT DETAILS

A necklace made by reconstructing materials collected across time and places into a single line.
Rather than uniformity and perfection, we aim to create products that embrace accidental overlaps and uneven balance, and that become complete when worn.
The concept is to leave memories and traces intact while still being decorative.

Material

The laces are made of genuine leather.
The beads used are antique glass beads made in the early to mid-1900s and beads made from goose egg shells.
Each piece combines parts of different materials, ages and origins.

Processing

The bead arrangements and combinations are all assorted.
Each piece is assembled by hand, and no two pieces have the same arrangement.
The genuine leather cord will soften and become more comfortable with use, and you can enjoy the changes in its appearance as it ages.

Silhouette

A simple rope-like silhouette that naturally fits around the neck.
The length can be adjusted by changing the knot position.
It has a light presence that can be worn alone or layered.

Background Story

Beads are mainly found in India and Nepal, and each site has its own cultural heritage and timeline.
By reconnecting them into a single necklace, the backgrounds and memories of the materials are brought into the present.
Each piece is unique and unique to this assortment, born from chance and handcrafted work.

WEAR THE AUTHENTICITY
WEAR THE CULTURE

Established in Tokyo in 2010, KURO is a premium Japanese apparel brand that fuses the dynamic creativity of Tokyo with the world-renowned craftsmanship of Okayama denim, delivering exquisite "Made in Japan" creations. The brand name, meaning "black" in Japanese, reflects the natural color of Japanese hair and eyes. Modernizing the subtle nuances of black deeply rooted in Japanese culture—such as kokushi, shikkoku, and kurotobi—KURO crafts minimalist, architecturally inspired designs. Integrating custom-developed fabrics with master artisan techniques, each denim piece embodies a timeless elegance and dignified tranquility.

The sole destination to experience this philosophy firsthand is "The Blue store," our direct concept shop in Tomigaya, Shibuya, Tokyo. Curating a refined selection centered around our signature Japanese denim, the store offers an immersive space where you can touch the raw textures, appreciate the intricate craftsmanship, and deeply connect with the sophisticated world of KURO.
